When Worship Becomes Warfare: A Testimony of Healing and Protection

I come from a Muslim background, and my life has been marked by immense sorrow and challenge. After losing my mother and aunt—and being abandoned by my fiancé—grief overwhelmed me. On top of the emotional pain, I suffered from a severely swollen leg that became increasingly painful. Medical treatments offered no help, and my heart sank deeper under the weight of it all.

One day, I attended a prayer meeting at Tabernacle of Praise, carrying all my burdens. As the prayers intensified, a divine presence surrounded me. To my amazement, right before my eyes, my swollen leg began to shrink. The pain vanished, and I was instantly healed! That moment was a miracle — proof of God’s nearness and mercy.

But the battle wasn’t just physical.

At my mother’s funeral, my uncle—who had openly threatened to kill me—attacked me multiple times. Yet each time, something divine pushed back. He encountered strange, unexplainable setbacks that blocked his every attempt. I didn’t retaliate. Instead, I surrounded myself with worship. I kept singing a song I once heard Pastor Thomas Bechem sing:

“I sing praises to Your name, O Lord.”

This song became my weapon. Every time I worshipped, I felt heaven’s defense surround me. My uncle’s plans continually failed, until one day he gave up completely. He not only abandoned all claims to my mother’s property but also begged for forgiveness, confessing his helplessness against the God who was clearly protecting me.

Today, I am completely healed. My leg is normal. The threats have ceased. And I walk in a freedom that only Jesus can give.
